The heart of family comes directly from the heart of the Father. Our Father in heaven. I have learned there is no greater love then his for us. There is no higher understanding or power or anything like our God. He was the one who not only created Man and Woman but he created them to be fruitful and multiply. Raising children together, spending time together, loving each other, and there is a reason that our family is our own. God has chosen from the beginning our parents, brothers, and sisters. He has counted them, chosen them, named them, and put them in order for oldest to youngest. Each with their own purpose and destiny. We have a choice whether we want to follow God. He forces no one. He gives us a choice.
We don’t really get to chose our family though that we are raised in, did anyone ever think about that? Whether our parents stay together or not, isn’t our choice or fault. Who we live with mom or dad, may or may not be own choice depending on the situation. The only choice we have is whether we are going to love them as God loves us or are we not. The middle ground would be indifferent, but if you are loving them it is God that is loving them through you. It is impossible to love without God for he is love. I really wanted to know what is this family all about. We do get to choose who is in our church family. God chooses people to come across our path and we get to love them. We get to grow together. We most of all get to see how God intended our family to be like before sin came into the world.
God intended and planned and directed us how to be a loving family but not everyone involved will listen and obey. Following God and listening the Bible creates a good environment for love and joy. Resisting does the opposite. The heart of family gets very confusing and all wrapped up in a frenzy. There is one way out of the mess and its to love others as God as loves us not by on own love but by God’s love for us. How awesome is that all we have to do is ask and he is there to answer our every need. We need to know how to love our families, friends and neighbors. We need to redefine what family is. When our friends are more like family then family we need to break the mold. We need to go back to the original design of family and break this curse over all the families in this world that say it’s hopeless. One way to do it.
Show the heart of God to our families. Show the heart of God to other families we know. Show the heart of God to our neighbors families, those we don’t know. The heart of God is love. The heart of God is mercy. The heart of God is grace. The heart of God is family and we need to show love, mercy, and grace to everyone especially our family. Family needs it most.
